1993 Corrado 2.9 VR6

Does anybody know what an original spare tire for a Corrado VR6 looks like? And were there different types available depending on which production year the car was made? Is it an extra Speedline Rim or something else? It must be a 15" rim at least because of the specially designed boot carpet that fits the rim totally. Perhaps anybody has got a picture to show me. Thanks Tyler, But why all the effort for a special designed boot carpet instead of the flat carpet of an G60 for example if they don't deliver it with an extra 15" rim? Strange? Perhaps to cut some costs of the already expensive Corrado? Is the trunkfloor of a G60 different from the VR6? In other words is the G60 trunk deeper to fit in a 15" spare rim and than cover it with a flat boot carpet? Because I try this with my VR6 but it just don't seem to fit right. Greetz Johan

Hi MacFly, I have the exact same spare wheel as Tyler shows in his pic, and I have never heard of a different spare wheel set up for the G60's.

Hi Wish, yes I know. I have bought one second handed myself from an G60. But when I bought my C. from the previous owner he had a 15" spare rim placed in the boot. But it isn't a Speedline it looks more like a rim from a standard Golf III. I understand from Tyler that there wasn't any Corrado VR6 sold with an extra 15" spare rim.

My question was, why all the trouble for making a other boot carpet (with an extra wheel compartiment) if you could use the flat version of a G60. I presume you know how the boot carpet of a VR6 Corrado looks like? Therefor Tyler thought it could have something to do with the difference in gastanks G60 (50 liters) and VR6 (70 liters).
