1993 Corrado 2.0 16V

i need to get some help to take apart
my house .. you know where you have the
speed limiter, oil etc etc ..

i have unmounted it from the car but need to
take the glas off but can't figure out how to do ..
i have already brokes 2 smal thing on this freaking
thing .. now i need serious help ..

i hope you all know what im talking about, aiight?

hehe .. when you sit in your car ..
you have steering wheel in front of you, right?
then you got your speed gauge, rpm gauge, clock, right?

The one with speed, rpm, clock i mean .. i want to mount
some carbon fiber on the dash there but i cant figure out how i can take of the glas without breaking anything.

The glas on that thing .. i want to take it off ..

ah, alright! i got it

unscrew the 2 outter screwes as its shown in the pic.


where the 2 arrows are

now take off the whole black bezel.



Take a sharpe knife and try to pull it along by pushing it a lil between black bezel and clear plastic.
Do it several times. The clear plastic is just pasted on the black bezel.

after that, try to push out the clear plastic by pushing it a lil from behind. BE CAREFUL !!
The clear plastic is gonna braking quick !!



Try to push from behind along the edges.
After all work is done get the clear plastic back by pasting it with a solvent-free super glue. Take care about
the solvent-free glue, the normal glue will turn the clear plastic white !!!

aaahh!! just got home from work and i thank you very much for the guide!!

But! What should i do if i break the glas
I don't really want to by a new one beacuse im
searching for some more interiour parts for the car
and vw directly takes a fortune for the products and
finding them used is not to easy, not for the newer interior

but i thank you again!

hey! I made it without cracking the glas!! *weeee
now i just have to buy some glue to past it all togheter and mount it back in the car!! yeee!!

i will upload some pictures on my personal site here @ corradodatabase when im finished.
I will tell you if you want to see how it looks like later, if you want to!
