I think supercharger will be better, but "opinion is like ass- everyone have it own".

I think for the 1.8 16V KR the turbo conversion is easier 'cause it's a conversion many people have done and so knowledge is there as also many "kits" you can buy ready...On the other hand supercharging a 16V isn't difficult but since this is rarest conversion it may be more complex doing this Just ask yourself (or look to this database) - how many 16V Turbo you see and how many 16V S/charged ones?

If anyone here doesn't agree, feel free to correct me.

Even if i am more of a supercharger guy myself (don't really like Turbo's), i have to say go for the 16V Turbo setup

Since, i'm not from Dublin i can't help you with a shop...

Turboing/ S charging a stock lump is'nt just a matter of bolting a unit on to it, it will take a lot of moding & in my oppinion a lot more trouble than it's worth? I would recomend changing the lump altogether for a turbo engine, from experience the VAG 20vt 1.8 drops straight into any 1.8 Rado.

^^I'm afraid he's right...Engine swaps cost big money these days (except if you can handle the labour yourself)
