hey guys, another question for you...

Im buying some 16x7.5 rims all round after the weekend, they come in ET25 and ET38...

I was going to get them in ET25, i want them on the edge of my arch, do i need wheel spacers? and how big would i need get them to get my rims as close to the edge of my arch as possible...???? Or would it be better to get ET38 and spacers????

If anyone knows this i will be amazed!!! please, someone amaze me

i have been reading how dangerous these spacers can be... anyone with any comments on them?? could i get away with some 5mm/10mm without it being too much stress on the wheel bolts??

Never heard spacers can be dangerous and i i'm 100% positive that there's nothing dangerous when fitting them...

I used to have 5mm spacers on my old 17''s

just been reading in some forums people think that if the car is supported just by the bolts they can be dangerous as they cant take the weight, over a long period they could snap... think they mean more like 20mm plus, if they are on 5mm spacers like what you had nick, am i right in saying your wheel is still leaning on your hub??

Also im getting some wheels in 16x7.5 like yours, can you not fit 5mm on to just push them out that bit further?? Looks like you could definately fit them on the rear...

Ben, you could prob fit 5mm spacers, but i think not more than that, because it would them rub on the inside lip of the arches...It all depends on the offset really...Your best bet would be (now that your car will be a the bodyshop) to just tell them to "pull/roll" your arches in order to be able to accomodate your wheels with some spacers...Anyhow 7,5x16'' wheels (with ET between 25-40) on Corrado fit just fine Maybe consider also some strechted tyres while you're there!!!

Actually i'm not really good in this area, so get some better advice (Vortex people know their stuff ) Ask there perhaps...

to be honest im scared of my arches being pulled or rolled just because there is no knowing how it will go... think i will just gt 16x7.5 195/40 and 5mm wheel spacers, that should be what im after
