I just want to post it here because I just want to talk about it. There was a meeting in Holland where Corrado Club Netherlands (CCN) were driving a route we dutchman race on ice in the winter.
Someone from Spijkenisse went with his friend but didnt turn up on the camping. Around 2:00 AM Today (14-May) they flew out of a corner with 80 km/h and got launched against a dam-wall. The passenger (the best friend from my sister's boyfriend) was dead at instant and the driver is badly injuried in the hospital but has been unconcious since the accident and the MRI-scan showed a big brain-damage.
He drove a Corrado with an Audi TT 2.0-Litre Turbo engine, so there must be some people who know this car. His name was Danny.
I just post it here just to warn you that you shouldn't forget that it could be you the next time. Think before you put your foot down please, cause i only talked a few times with the passenger and I seriously feel like crap at this moment.
Thanks Robin for sharing your feelings with us. It sure is a terrible loss for the family, friends and relatives. I state your case about thinking about the consequences before you floor the pedal. Let this be a warning for all of us to keep our emotions under control and not let our right foot do the talking. Enjoy driving the Corrado but let it be under save circumstances. I don't hope this should be a lesson for anyone who reads Robins
