Information / Adjustments :
My 'new' Corrado has arrived. I consider it the best birthday present in years :-)

Well, I've owned a green G60 for over 6 years and had big plans for it. Because of personal reasons it didn't work out as planned, and the Corrado was sold, including al the parts that were already bought for the project.

But then again, if you ever driven a Corrado, there's not really a substitute. So the day is here again. I'll take some fresh pictures and inform you guys en girls of the work in progress. Because there is some work to be done, but I think it's a very good base to start with.

Wishlist :
Picture above : Well after a year of driving my VR6 around, the engine gave up at approx 260.000 KM. It's was'n really unexpected, but never comes at a good time. Just one real remedy, do it right, the first time. So I had my engine completely rebuild. New bore, new pistons, new drivechain, new clutch ........new everything. This should be fine for at least another 200.000 KM of driving pleasure.

The creme leather interiour still needs intensive cleaning. It doesn't look too bad on the picture, but it defenitly needs a lot of work, but no tears or holes, so just some extensive maintenace should do the job. That will keep me busy for a while. Cleaning the engineroom, and some other small repairs are also on that first 'Things To Do' list.

Since I'm not really a fan of wooden steeringwheels and shiftknobs in a Corrado, that stuff will also be replaced in time. For now the trucklike steeringwheel is replaced by a smaller one, also in wood. The plan is to sand it clean and give it a transparant black coat.

I will replace the front grill for a batchless one, or a Rieger GTO grill.

De front brakediscs will be replaced soon. The almost new EBC discs and Green Stuff brakepads a already waiting to be fitted. At the back I'll probably install new oversized discs ( 280 mm ) in time.

The US spec 50 mm frontspoiler has already been replaced with a EU-spec 90 mm one. Looks a lot better already in my opinion ....

The In-Pro clear taillights ( red/white ) need to go too also, they're not really my taste and will be replaced in time with stock ones, and later a set of Edition Mike (full red or red/black) will be sitting there.

And time will tell what's next, polishing the intake manifold will probably be among the first things I will do, maybe new headlights, foglights and turnsignals, (Bi-)Xenon lighting, rims, suspension, paintjob and lots of other 'little' modifications ;-)

The photo below, well it speaks for itself, doesn't it ? My old exhaust turned ouy to be irrepairable. So I had it replaced with a complete custom build stainless steel one, from te catalist on. Look nice, souns even better :-P
