Information / Adjustments : Well this is my wee beastie 'Charlie' formerly owned by my husband she is now owned and loved by me... My first corrado and one that I will own for a long time to come. Hubby put alot of working hours into her she is a dream to drive and own. A far cry from my little KA which is now owned by my mother in-law. Sadly having a water leak I had to change the thermastat housing and managed to resolve the problem. In the last few days had a rattling sound, concerned that it was my cam chain I stripped her down to take a good look at to the cause of the noise. On closer inspection the chain tensioner had failed and needed replacing. All done and sounding quite good on warming up after a fairly tame run, she has a knocking sound and rattles slightly not as bad....ho hum, the old girl is showing her age. So time has come for a engine rebuild I think or maybe even a replacement engine. So any comments on a 24V engine? or even a 2.8 VW Golf engine? obviously obtainability is the question too. |
