Hi guys,
Consider:
16x8 ET34 5x112PCD
I wanted 15mm front adapter/spacer and 20mm rear, therefore:
Front: ET19
Rear: ET14
Plan on 195/40/R16
Car is a VR6, and i want to go a little lower
Will it clear the rear beam? Will arch work be required? Anyone with experience? Trying to avoid having my arches rolled like i did with my old corrado (9x16 rear)...i think the front should be ok?

hello mate! i have 7.5 x 17 ET 41 all around and i'm using adapters as well as i'm running 5x120 wheels. in the front i have 20 mm adapters so the result is ET 21 wich is fine (using 205/40 tyres). in the back i have 40 mm ( ET almost 0)but having little contacts between the rubber and rear wings. there are many websites where you can calculate the distance between the wheel and wing introducing your old and your new wheel specs. like this http://www.1010tires.com/WheelOffsetCalculator.asp
PS: i would let the wings as they are from factory, looking much better then rolled. cheers

Hi mate,
Thanks for the reply! 40mm adapter, that's pretty big! From your pictures your car is also sitting nice and low so I guess I should be ok. Thanks for the link, and btw your C looks great!
I didn't want to mess with my wings at all so good news i guess!

Front will be perfect, not a think to worry about (fenders etc) 
Rear *might* poke just a tad I think...
Why don't you want to roll your fenders if I may ask? I don't say pull them (like I did -check my profile for pics) but just roll them would be nice and safe if you have professionals do it

Don't want to roll because it's a Storm, so i wanted to do reversible mods...although rolling is not the end of the world!

keep it as stock as possible, so i would only do reversible mods, that way the car keeps it value, not that you should sell it
60% of the time it works all the time.

My thoughts exactly, one thing is for certain - i can't live with factory ride height! I'll keep the stock suspension in the garage though when i upgrade

in the pictures maybe it looks nice, but if you drive my car you will hear one of the most painfull noise there is, and that is my rubber touching the fenders. i will modify my rear adapters to maybe 20-25 mm so i can get lower. what tornado said about rolling( not pulling ) does not change the look of your fenders, just tidy up that 1 cm lip inside the fender for the wheel to have more space to go up.

and btw, maybe you sould go 15 mm on the rear as well because your wheels have et34 and they are 8j. aparently ( and i'm speaking from my experience ) as much as you go with smaller et compared to the factory specs, the car looses the good steering and you won't recognize it. maybe it's sound weird because you will think wider wheels means more stabylity ( i thought that as well ) but thats very wrong. i allmost have a huge crash when i was very confident about my old bbs with et 20 and 20/40 adapters ( so et 0-front and et -(minus) 20-rear) and the car have a nasty lag when steering. with my new configuration it's much better but still, a friend of mine that have et47 on his vr6 corrado has better steering than mine. so try to use the smaller adapters u can.

16v_Dub: Rolling could be done i suppose, I had my old corrado rear arches rolled but it caused the paint to crack Obviously I could use a touch up paint stick but it just isn't the same.
You're right, I could also use 15mm adapters on the rears too and i'm sure the steering would be alot better. In a perfect world I could have the staggered look!

As 16V_Dub said rolling yer fenders does NOT change the looks of the car 
I took like the OEM look...my fenders were pulled perfectly, most people don't even realize that they are altered until they take a closer look 
What you said about paint cracking when you roll the fenders, you can avoid this by heating them constanly...A professional could do it right probably but I think if you're afraid that paint will crack (and don't plan on a respray or something) I say don't roll them First test the wheels with the spacers and you can decide if rolling would be neccesary
