1992 Corrado 1.8 G60

So I would like to know what ET you guys prefer for rim sized 8,5" x 17"? At the moment I do have original suspension but as soon as I get some money the car will be lowered.
So what do you think, will 8,5x17" et25 rims fit under my g60 corrado or do I need spacers or modifications to fenders to make them work properly?
(Ou, and of course if I would have enough money I would be buying 16x9" rims but those cost a little too much for me at the moment.  )
