It's a 3.6ltr V8 from an Audi V8. The project includes a rear wheel drive setup and a very nice surprising interior. She'll fill you in on the rest when she registers. Hello people! I had no idea this thread was here until this evening. Thanks Ed for pointing it out

As Lucy says, its a 3.6 32V V8, which makes about 300hp on SEM (Megasquirt with Edis). It will be driving the rear wheels via a Porsche-derived torque tube connected to an Audi FWD transmission. The objective of the conversion is to do it with as little cutting and welding of the body as possible. I will be fabricating as much off the car as possible, and just bolting it together.

Its quite a slow build, as I don't have a lot of money to spend on it, plus I don't have a garage so I have to wait for nice weather at weekends to work on it. Yes, there are more powerful V8 motors out there, but the 3.6 was free, and should be plenty powerful enough. If not then a couple of turbos will soon fix that

I'll make a build thread in the summer once it starts coming together.

The best answer I can give to that Ed (from my understanding) is that he had a two month old sale thread holed for rule infringement (one that is quite common amongst Vortex users) by an over zealous moderator and then an argument happened. He is a great guy and I wish they'd let him back but from my understanding they've imposed quite a childish series of conditions on him and I think he has far too much self respect to comply.

The answer is pink.....what is the question?
